You are cordially invited to a free two-day EFTEM workshop hosted by Gatan, Inc. and the Leiden University Medical Center.
Program
This workshop will cover EFTEM Tomography Acquisition as well as Reconstruction and Visualization of acquired data. The extensive, hands-on laboratory sessions will utilize a Tecnai 20F equipped with a Gatan Imaging Filter (GIF®), a Gatan UltraScan® CCD camera, and a full range of Gatan's Tomography software. Presentations combined with interactive practical sessions will provide valuable education and training for all participants. Exemplar specimens will be used for some of the demonstrations. However, attendees are encouraged to submit relevant specimens for examination during the practicals. Please contact one of the representatives below regarding the use of personal samples. Salient specimen preparation and analytical techniques for tomography will be discussed in the presentations. In addition, there will be opportunities to discuss and review practical and innovative approaches to automate and process tomographic data.
The Workshop will be held at the research building (Building 2) of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), Einthovenweg 20, Leiden, the Netherlands on March 3-4, 2010. The site is within a 5-minute walk from the Leiden railway station. For complete information on the Leiden University Medical Center, please click here.
