EDGE 2017: Enhanced Data Generated by Electrons

EDGE 2017 is the largest electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) meeting in the world. This is the 8th in this series of conferences. Using a Gordon Conference format, the EDGE 2017 program juxtaposes scientific sessions and informal discussions amongst its international participants. Topics focus on the latest developments in EELS and related techniques in the TEM. Leading EELS investigators from Europe, Asia, and the US will engage in presentations and open forums on emerging EELS applications and techniques. EDGE 2017 will occur at the stunning JAL Private Resort Okuma, Okinawa, Japan.

The scientific program includes:
  • Latest EELS advances and likely future developments
  • Advances in instrumentation
  • Advances in techniques
  • Advances in theory
  • Applications in materials science, physics, and biology
  • Beyond traditional microscopy/spectroscopy

Gatan is a major sponsor and presenter of EDGE 2017. Gatan is also the host of the official EDGE meeting website. Please visit www.energyloss.com to review abstracts, posters, and presentations from past meetings. Our worldwide team of EELS experts will be present to share with and learn from the large EELS community. We hope to see in Okinawa.
