MULTISCAN™

Gatan has redefined high performance imaging with the creation of a family of cameras that rises above the ordinary level of performance.

The MultiScan™ series family offers the user a choice of scintillators (Phosphor or YAG) and fiber optical coupling to deliver dramatic improvements in sensitivity and resolution. MultiScan cameras feature the high-speed industry standard IEEE 1394 (Firewire) hardware interface to the computer. The cameras are also retractable to ensure compatibility with a wide range of ancillary TEM equipment, including the GIF Tridiem and ENFINA™ spectrometer.

MultiScan™ 600W, 600CW

Compact design and high sensitivity are key design features of these cameras. Mounted in the 35mm port of the TEM, the 600W and 600CW provide a wide field of view which is about 6 times larger than film at the same magnification. The 600CW uses a special cooling system to extend the dynamic range of the camera. Pneumatic insertion and retraction, which is software controlled, provides a more convenient and precise method of operation compared to manual or motorized camera systems. The Multiscan 600W and 600CW cameras are ideally suited for typical Biological applications from cryo-imaging of low contrast specimens to low dose beam sensitive materials, including stained sections.

MultiScan™ 600HP

The MultiScan 600HP is the elite member of the family. This patented bottom-mount compact camera is designed to retract, allowing it to be combined with a spectrometer such as the GIF or ENFINA™ system. The camera delivers high-resolution imaging across a range of operating voltages up to 400kV, making it the ideal choice for material science applications. If you need high-resolution imaging and the ability to perform chemical analysis using a Gatan spectrometer system, the MultiScan 600HP is the digital imaging system for you.
