DigitalMicrograph™ is the industry leading software that provides TEM users with a complete package to acquire, process, analyze, and present image and spectrum data. DigitalMicrograph™ provides the user with powerful functions and useful features that have made it the choice for digital imaging in TEM. While DigitalMicrograph™ 3 has preserved and enhanced the most useful features in its previous version, it is also greatly expanded to include many new and exciting features, promising to make digital imaging a truly enjoyable experience.

DigitalMicrograph™ interfaces with the entire line of Gatan imaging and analytical hardware, including GIF, ENFINA, cameras and DigiScan. DigitalMicrograph™ will provide you with a complete solution to your imaging needs.

Features in DigitalMicrograph™ include:

New Document Window: The image window allows for multiple images to be attached to a page for easy image comparison and page layout. Once on the page, each image can be independently edited, annotated, grouped and aligned, and exported in many popular image formats for quick publishing.

Image Processing: Particle-analysis functions let you define the parameters for particles and DigitalMicrograph™ automatically measures these parameters for each particle in the image.

Easy Annotation of Images: Scale bars, description text and other annotations can be added to images and later modified. Annotations can be burned into the images upon export for publishing in other applications. The length and appearance of scale bars and their associated text can be easily stretched and positioned to your custom requirements.

Productivity Tools: Gatan offers several plug-in modules for increasing your productivity while working on the microscope. Using Gatan's DigitalMontage™, several images can be automatically acquired and stitched together to form "supersize" images. With DifPack™ you can calibrate your images based on diffractograms, measure d-spacings and angles.

Automatic Microscope Auto-Tuning: With TEM AutoTune and HREM autotuning plug-in modules, the microscope can be completely tuned faster and more accurately than by human operators.

Script Language: Functionality in DigitalMicrograph™ can be enhanced and repetitive tasks automated using the powerful built-in C++ like script language.

Other exciting features include integration with Cumulus for image archiving and availability of plug-in modules for EELS analysis and Spectrum Imaging.
