The New Generation of CCD Cameras

The UltraScan™ family is the new generation of digital imaging system that is designed to meet the challenges posed by the most demanding TEM imaging applications in both life and materials science. The revolutionary HCR™ (high-contrast resolution) optical technology delivers exceptional image quality with single-pixel resolution by effectively controlling both the electron and photon point spread and matching the total spread to the CCD pixel size. This family of cameras utilizes state-of-the-art CCD electronics, with 4-port parallel readout to facilitate data transfer while maintaining exceptionally low readout noise. The 16-bit dynamic range ensures image data precision for all imaging needs.

UltraScan™ cameras are mounted in the TEM bottom port. The retraction mechanism ensures complete compatibility with Gatan GIF or ENFINA spectrometer systems, thus providing a TEM with both high-resolution digital imaging and analytical capabilities.
