Gatan contributes to new helium cryo-TEM
|

Gatan
congratulates FEI on the launch of the Tecnai G2 Polara helium
cryo-TEM at M&M 2002. This TEM from FEI Company significantly
broadens the performance available to structural biologists
and Gatan is pleased to supply the cryogenic specimen transfer
system to them.

Kundmann, PhD appointed to Analytical Products Manager post
|

Starting
1 November, Mike Kundmann will assume the post of Analytical
Products Manager. With 15 years experience at Gatan R&D
developing and integrating the EELS technique with TEM,
Mike brings a strong technical background to this post.

1.2 Now Available!
|

GMS
1.2 includes many bug fixes and feature updates. Highlights
include support for serial and parallel cathodoluminescence
including spectrum imaging, support for the new UltraScan
camera and many updates for EELS analysis software.
For a free download go to ftp://ftp.gatan.com/pub/software/PC/
and select the file GMS_1_2_18.exe. User needs a valid
GMS 1.x license to be able to install this software.

installed and tested on the ARM microscope at the JEOL factory
in Akishima, Japan.
