Profiles in Excellence: Dr. Judy Murphy
|
Dr.
Judy Murphy heads the Microscopy Technology Center at
San Joaquin Delta College, but by no means has that been
her only job. For the past 12 years,
Dr. Murphy has been a tireless fundraiser, advocate for
students in and out of the lab, and a true champion in
the field of microscopy. In September 2003, the Center
for Microscopy and Allied Sciences (CMAS) will open thanks,
in large part, to Dr. Murphy's individual efforts. This
brand new, 18,500 square foot building will become home
to one of only two nationally-recognized programs in the
United States offering a 2-Year Certificate Program for
students of Microscopy. We salute Dr. Murphy for her achievements
and wish her continued success as her dream continues
to unfold.
