The FCS12 is an electronic system for reducing ambient
magnetic fields with frequencies between 0.5Hz and
5000Hz, also DC field changes (Optional).
The FCS12 can be essential equipment to allow SEMs
and STEMs to display high resolution stable images.
The small sensor is placed very close to the electron
column. The sensor measures the ambient magnetic field
X, Y and Z components and this information is displayed
by the system controller.
An antiphase field is created using three orthogonal
cable sets which are installed in the microscope room.
This antiphase field cancels the ambient field to
allow the microscope to perform as designed.
