The Polishing Machine can be used as a grinding, lapping or polishing machine for discs/tables of 200 or 230mm diameter. It is ideal for the small volume laboratory, or in a high volume lab as supplementary equipment for preparation requirements outside the daily routine. With low, variable speed of between 0-150 rpm it is suited for the gentle preparation of sensitive materials.

User-friendly and easy operation

The Polishing Machine is designed to provide all the necessary functions to make it easy to operate and extremely user friendly. The Machine is ideal for the small volume EM lab, or in a high volume lab as supplementary equipment for preparation requirements outside the daily routine. It takes up little space in your lab and can be placed on standard laboratory furniture and located where most convenient for the operator.

Quick exchange of lapping, grinding and polishing discs

The Polishing Machine can be used to fulfill all kinds of EM preparation requirements. It can be used for grinding, lapping and polishing with all different types of consumables. All preparation discs/tables can be exchanged easily. Therefore, when only a moderate preparation capacity is required, all processes may be carried out with just one machine and a number of discs/tables, depending on the number and type of preparation steps required.

Since non-adhesive papers can be used, only one disc/table is necessary for manual grinding on SiC paper. The papers are held on the disc by the vacuum created when water is expelled during rotation. The Machine can be used for grinding with all the consumables available in the MD-System, with SiC paper and for polishing with diamonds, oxide polishing suspensions OP-S, OP-U, OPA or alumina.

Table-top design in corrosion resistant material

The Polishing Machine is produced in a stylish, functional, easy-to-clean cabinet of tough, corrosion resistant material. It is equipped with a water tap and drain outlet.
