SEM Workshop TAMU 2019
The Microscopy and Imaging Center (MIC) of Texas A&M University (TAMU) will be conducting a 3-day workshop on the application of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) in different research fields on June 10-12, 2019.
The workshop will comprise of lectures covering different applications of cryo-techniques for biological specimen and soft matter, usage of SEM in the field of medical research, nanotechnology, geochemistry, mineralogy, thermo-fluid study, environmental engineering, and water purification. Lectures from application specialists will highlight the latest technological developments in cryo-SEM, cryo-FIB, and serial block-face SEM.
The course is ideal for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers with no or limited experience in SEM and for faculties who are planning to implement the usage of high-resolution SEM, cryo-FIB/serial block-face SEM to their projects to bring their research work to the succeeding platform.
Gatan is a corporate sponsor of the SEM Workshop at TAMU. James Long, our Sales Manager for Texas, will be available to discuss your application needs for SEM sample preparation, imaging, and analysis. Please contact James to schedule an appointment during the workshop. We hope to see you at TAMU.
