DigitalMicrograph 3.6 Limited Time Download

Gatan is offering a limited-time version of DigitalMicrograph^® 3.6, also known as Gatan Microscopy Suite^® (GMS), that allows for the offline installation of the following analytical licenses until February 28, 2027, at no additional cost.

• EELS Analysis
• EFTEM Analysis
• EDS Analysis
• EELS Advisor
• DigitalMontage^®
• HREM
• STEMx^®

The functionality of these product licenses is embedded in DigitalMicrograph and will not be visible on the Package Selection screen of the DigitalMicrograph software installer. Packaging of this Free Analysis configuration does also include three (3) of the free offline product offerings available on the Gatan website:

• DigitalMicrograph (only)
• SI Viewer
• STEMx Viewing

All of the above product licenses may be combined with other existing DigitalMicrograph 3.x commercial offline licenses and/or the other freely available offline licenses from the Gatan website. After the expiration date referenced above, launching DigitalMicrograph will continue to provide functionality for the installed GATAN_FREE licenses; however, the embedded analytical functionality will no longer be available in the DigitalMicrograph application.

To install the software in this *.zip file on a computer that does not currently include an install of the DigitalMicrograph software, please follow the instructions below:

1. Download the package GMS_FreeAnalysis17.zip from the Gatan FTP site.
2. The unpacked files should be located in the new folder GMS_FreeAnalysis17.
3. Locate and run the file LicenseSetup.exe.
4. Click on the Install Licenses button to install the GATAN_FREE license.
5. Next, click on the Install GMS button to unpack and begin the installer.
6. Follow the installer's instructions to complete the installation.

Note that the installer has the option to include a Python environment that can enable scripting in the Python language (in addition to the native DM scripting language). This Python configuration is complex and specific to DigitalMicrograph requirements. If you are not interested in Python scripting in DigitalMicrograph, it is recommended not to install Python support.
