New software or system purchase

When you purchase EDAX software or an EDAX system that includes software:

• You will receive licensing instructions as part of your delivery or installation materials
• License files or activation details are provided based on your purchase

Installing or re‑installing software

If you are reinstalling software or moving to a new computer:

• Licensing details may need to be updated
• Some license types require re‑hosting or re‑activation

Contact EDAX Support before making hardware changes to avoid downtime.

In most cases, EDAX software requires a license key file in the root of the computer’s C:\ drive to be able to use the EDAX software.

If a new license file is needed, email the ComputerID.txt file to the organization responsible for making license key files in the region (local EDAX organization). The license key will be created and emailed back.

Download the EDAX Licensing.zip file that includes instructions on how to generate the needed ComputerID.txt file which will be used to create the license key file.
