628 Single Tilt Heating Holder

The 628 Single Tilt Heating Holder is a furnace-type holder that allows the direct observation of micro structural phase changes, nucleation, growth and dissolution processes.

Furnace characteristics

• Incorporates tantalum furnace for vacuum applications; provides high-temperature strength and resistance to solid state welding to most materials (including silicon)
• Inconel furnace used for atmospheric applications
• Specimens can be heated to 1000 ºC in less than a minute using less than 8 watts of power
• Small mass ensures rapid response to changes in heater current

Hexring® clamping system

• Gently and securely holds the specimen in place
