Python installation

The Python scripting environment is installed through the DigitalMicrograph^®, also known as Gatan Microscopy Suite^®, installer. There is no specific DigitalMicrograph license required. The installer makes use of Miniconda from Continuum Analytics to install the Conda package manager, Python, and NumPy, the fundamental package for scientific computing in Python.
