Capturing, processing, and synchronizing in-situ EELS data

This demo video shows how to capture in-situ EELS datasets using the GIF Continuum K3 IS with DigitalMicrograph version 3.5.0 and above. We also demonstrate a few of the many data playback and analysis tools which now work with these in-situ EELS datasets.

The sample here is a Sn nanoparticle which melts and re-crystallizes repeatedly as the temperature oscillates between 50 and 300 °C, resulting in dramatic changes to the electron density, and thus the bulk-plasmon energy.

DPC in DigitalMicrograph

This video demonstrates two methods for differential phase contrast (DPC) imaging in DigitalMicrograph: Virtual Segmented Detector and Center of Mass (CoM).

In-Situ Data Processing with GMS 3.4: Data Filtering

In this video, we demonstrate advanced IS dataset processing using data filters.

In-Situ Data Processing with GMS 3.4: Alignment Filters

In this video, we conclude the topic of drift correction techniques with a demonstration of the filters which can be applied to improve alignment accuracy.

NLLS for ELNES example

During this tutorial, we demonstrate how to use the non-linear least squares (NLLS) routine to map fine structures, such as energy loss near edge structure (ELNES).

NLLS Using Functions and Fixed references

This tutorial demonstrates a hybrid approach to data analysis using MLLS and NLLS routines.

MLLS internal references

This curve fitting and data mining tutorial shows how to use the multiple linear least squares (MLLS) fitting routine using internal references.
